For the 2021 Renal Transplantation Guidelines, new and relevant evidence was identified, collated and appraised through a structured assessment of the literature. A broad and comprehensive literature search, covering Sections 3.1.1 to 3.1.7 and sections 3.1.9 to 3.1.11 of the Renal Transplantation Guidelines was performed. The scope search identified 1,202 unique references of which 129 full texts were reviewed resulting in 29 additional references and text updates being incorporated throughout the 2021 version of the Renal Transplantation Guidelines.
